The two musicians from Tyrol, Patricia del Mar and Andreas Maximilian, keep their original vision of bringing light and beauty into this world even in their 11th CD. All of their ten news songs are played on real and authentic instruments. With guitars, blues harp and indian flutes, with congas, darabuka and berimbao are interpreted the new soulful songs from Patricia del Mar who sings in german and english.

The songs are telling about the magical beauty of Mother Earth, about powerful trees and holy places.

The melodies of Patricia’s crystal clear voice doing their round-dance with the great variety of rhythms of Andreas’ percussion, embedded in the floating sounds of harmonium and shruti.

Gayatri is the mother of all the Mantras, the mother of the Vedas and the destroyer of all the sins. There is nothing more purifying in Heaven or on Earth than the Gayatri.

In all the 20 years that Patricia and Andreas have been singing, playing and recording their own spiritual songs, also traditional Sanskrit- Mantras have always been an important part of their concerts and singing- circles.

Now it is time do dedicate the 9th album of LUNA Y SOL to some of those very beautiful Mantras.

Una combinación bien hecha di folklore di Europa y di América Latina, incluida en las canciones nuevas en español de Patricia del Mar. LUNA Y SOL realizaron con este disco un sueno, que tiene la esencia de 13 anos de viaje entre Guatemala y Argentina.

Nos hace un enorme placer de presentarles este disco que hemos hecho con grandes maestros de la música popular (folklore) de Argentina: Daniel Védia (bandoneón), Nestor Garnica (violín), Oscar Maquieira (guitarra). Nosotros: Patricia (composición, canto, guitarra) y Andreas (percusión) somos europeos que siempre sintieron muy cerca al corazón latinoamericano. Con este proyecto musical queremos demostrar una vez más nuestro grande amor por este continente y sobre todo por los pueblos indigenas y sus líderes. Sean benditos todos los que tengan los ojos abiertos y un gran corazón lleno de amor en su pecho.

‘Times are changing’ (Los tiempos cambian) se refiere a la transformación personal y global. El movimiento y el baile en los colores del arco iris que conocimos durante nuestros viajes en Argentina, Hungría, India, Uruguay, Ecuador, Francia y Portugal se manifiestan aquí en forma musical y en el contenido. Musette , mantra, estilo gitano y el tango invitan a bailar y a volar.

Este disco es un homenaje a los elementos tierra, agua, aire, fuego y espíritu. El punto de vista indio, la relación con los reinos minerales, vegetales y animales y la conexión con la madre tierra que nos alimenta – este cd interpreta todos nuestros sentimientos.

Nuevos sonidos y contenidos de crítica social forman el carácter de este cd. La música folcloristica viene enriquecida por los ritmos Reaggea, la colaboración de diversos músicos (quienes tocan la flauta travesera, el violoncelo, el bajo) y de un coro juvenil e infantil.

Numerosos viajes a Guatemala y a México daban el impulso para producir este primero cd. Nuestros encuentros con la cultura india del Centro-América se convirtieron en un sonido claro y natural que provoca recordarse de la música folcloristica de los años 60/80 (percusión, guitarra, canto).
