“sacred places on earth/Heilige Orte der
Erde” shows a variety of well-known monuments and spiritual places on our beautiful
mother earth.
I have always been fascinated by the architecture of the ancient high cultures. Above all, I had the opportunity to see many of the temples of the Mayan culture myself and to paint
there.
The countless pyramids in Mesoamerica, especially those of the Maya, e. g. Tikal, Chichen Itzá and Palenque, give a glimpse of a past rich epoch. The megalithic culture of the Celts and the ancient high cultures of Europe are also represented in my picture cycle with Stonehenge and the Acropolis.
From the Indian spiritual culture, the pyramids and places of worship of Egypt, as well as the Ceremony places + Palaces of Asia, I chose some of the most beautiful for my paintings.
The series “sacred places on Earth” (started in 2001) currentlycomprises more than 60 Aquarells, in various formats on paper. In this exhibition I show some works from the past 20 years. On future occasions I will also present cultural sites from other areas of the world.

„La Magie de la luz“ - „Der Zauber des Lichts“
Der Tiroler Künstler Andreas Maximilian, auch bekannt als Percussionist des Weltmusik- Duos LUNA Y SOL, zeigt derzeit einige seiner neuen Werke im Atelier LYS in Südfrankreich.
„La Magia de la luz“, lautet der Titel der Ausstellung, die noch bis Ende September geöffnet ist.
Farbenfrohe, leuchtend bunte Mandalas, die an Kristalle, Blüten, Schmetterlingsflügel und andere faszinierende Formen in der Natur erinnern.
Licht und Farbe, welche in der schönen Provence besonders beeindruckend sind, spiegeln sich in den Arbeiten von Andreas Maximilan, der 2018 sein Jubiläum „30 Jahre Lichtmalerei“ feierte. Abstrakte Aquarellbilder, Landschaften, Portraits oder Mandalas- sie alle sind durchdrungen von jener kreativen, lichtvollen Strahlkraft, die an die Epoche von Impressionismus und Expressionismus erinnert.
Ein wertvoller Kontrast zur aktuellen „Modekunst“.
